Course Description: Under the rigors of defensive and combat use, handguns don't always work as they do in ideal conditions on the range. This intermediate-level clinic covers common stoppages, their causes, and efficient clearance methods to get your handgun back in the fight. Skills will be taught, ingrained through dry & live fire repetitions, and pressure tested. Material covered includes, but is not limited to:
- Safety Brief
- Marksmanship Refresher
- Common Stoppages & Causes
- Identifying & Clearing Stoppages
Equipment Requirements:
Prerequisite: NRA First Steps, NRA Basic Pistol, USCCA Basic Handgun, Concealed Carry Class, mil/LE firearms training, or equivalent experience.
Cost: $85. A $25 non-refundable deposit is required upon registration. The remainder is due at the opening of the class.

- Semi-automatic handgun (loaners are available for a reasonable fee)
- At least 150 rounds of ammunition for your handgun
- At least 3 magazines for double-stack pistols, at least 4 magazines for single-stack pistols
- Attendees are strongly encouraged to run their concealed carry holsters (or duty holster if you're Mil/LEO) as long as they meet the following criteria: Strong-side, belt-mounted holster molded to fit your specific make/model of pistol. Loaners are available for some pistols. If you have questions about your holster's suitability, ask. If you need a suitable holster I recommend C&G Holsters, Dark Star Gear, or Blade-Tech.
