Handgunner of the Week: Jeff Cooper



  This week's Handgunner of the Week is Lt Col Jeff Cooper. Cooper helped develop the "Modern Technique" of handgun shooting, founded the Gunsite Academy to make quality handgun training available to the public, played a major role in the founding of IPSC & USPSA, designed the Bren Ten pistol, developed the Cooper Color Code, popularized the 4 Firearms Safety Rules, and authored many firearms-related books.
   In addition to his accomplishments in the firearms world, Col Cooper held a bachelor's degree in political science from Stanford, a master's degree in history, was a US Marine & veteran of World War II & the Korean War, and was married to his wife Janelle for 64 years.
