Course Description: This class picks up where most concealed carry classes leave off. Students will learn the fundamentals of defensive and combat pistol use as they relate to the civilian defender. Skills will be taught, ingrained through dry & live fire repetition, and pressure tested. Material covered includes, but is not limited to:
- Safety Brief
- Tourniquet Application
- Use of Force Law
- Everyday Carry Equipment
- Resolute Response Marksmanship Doctrine
- Ready Positions
- Drawstroke
Equipment Requirements:
- Willingness to learn
- Note-taking gear
- Food & fluids (soft drinks & coffee are available on-site)
- Eye & ear protection
- Semi-automatic handgun (loaners are available for a reasonable fee)
- At least 300 rounds of ammunition for your handgun
- At least 3 magazines for double-stack pistols, at least 4 magazines for single-stack pistols
- Belt-mounted spare magazine carriers are recommended, but not required.
- Attendees are strongly encouraged to run their concealed carry holsters (or duty holster for Mil/LEO) as long as they meet the following criteria: Strong-side, belt-mounted holster molded to fit your specific make/model of pistol. Must cover trigger guard. Loaners are available for some pistols. If you have questions about your holster's suitability, ask. If you need a suitable concealment holster I recommend C&G Holsters, Dark Star Gear, Phlster, or JM Custom Kydex.
Cost: $175. A $25 non-refundable deposit is required upon registration. The remainder is due at the opening of the class.
